In 1983, Connections was conceived by a social worker/family therapist-turned boatie to fill the gap of services and to make life "easy in the islands". It began as an answering and mail service because there were few working public phones and the St. John Post Office had a long waiting list for mailboxes. From humble beginnings, it has two convenient locations (Cruz Bay and Coral Bay) and now offers a mind-boggling myriad of services.

Once affectionately described as a bar without booze, Connections is just what the name implies. Since 1983 Connections has been connecting locals and tourists with the information they seek whether it's:

• Answering Services- Beginning at $15/month for unlimited messages for an individual and a basic rate of $20/month for a business.
• Call- Forwarding Services- You can utilize our professional staff to give you customized answering service. REAL people answer your calls as opposed to impersonal "press one-press thirteen" automated services. It's perfect for businesses which need to have uninterrupted office meetings/lunches/vacations and small businesses which don't need a full-time secretary to answer calls.
• Booking /Answering Services- We are pleased to be the booking service for most of the day sail/ fishing/ diving/ kayak/ island adventures available on St. John and St. Thomas. We thoroughly enjoy "connecting" people with what they are seeking. Call it a vicarious thrill/vacation-whatever. We'll give your details, take in all pertinent information (name, number, give out vital details so to insure you "hook" 'em and they have so much fun that they return for more!)
• Mailing Services- Beginning at $15/month for an individual, we will be your "mailbox". We will hold your mail packages or forward to you. We are required to apply postage to any mail in order to forward so we must have a deposit in order to forward your mail
• Postage Services and Mailing Services- We will send your packages for a 20% surcharge over the Post Office (100% less hassle!)
  Post Office Box Pick-up- If you have a P.O. Box, we'll pick up your daily mail and hold or forward it while you go on vacation or whatever.
• VHF Radio Monitoring- No charge but, oh, so convenient for you to check messages/mail/etc. We monitor channel 72 as "Seawatch".
• Copies-Letter Size- $.25/Letter $.30/Legal $.50/Menu. Discounts for volume over 50.
• Notary Public Services-Notary Public Services- $5.00 (as dictated by the Virgin Islands Legislature)
• Laminating- Protect your valuable stuff- a must for the tropics!
• Advertising- Our bulletin boards are reknown for advertising what you have to sell, apartments for rent, boats, vehicles, and stuff for sale, as well as island happenings.
  Word Processing/Typing Services- We're good and very reasonable!
• "Cyber-Cafe" Services- Check your email or go on the internet for $3 per 15 minutes.
• Money Orders- $2/order via Western Union.
• Money Wire Transfers- via Western Union.
• Pickup and Dropoff Service- A great service for rental managers and businesses that need a convenient location for people to leave or pick up stuff.
  Smiles, Service and Sarcasm- No additional charge.
  In this day of computerized responses, we still believe that there's a place for human, customized service. Call us ol' fashioned but we feel it's the missing commodity!
